By using Pixelsmith you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We may update the terms from time to time; the date above reflects the current version.

Pixelsmith provides free browser-based tools for resizing, cropping, compressing and converting images and for removing image metadata. All processing takes place on your own device; we do not receive, host or process your files.

The tools are provided without any guarantee of availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.

You retain all rights to the images you process. We claim no ownership, licence or interest in them, and we could not do so in any case, since the files never reach us.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to process the images you use with these tools, including any copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights belonging to other people.

You agree not to use this site to:

• process material that is illegal in your jurisdiction, including child sexual abuse material;
• infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
• remove metadata in order to conceal evidence or to misrepresent the origin of an image unlawfully;
• attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the site's infrastructure.

The tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Image processing depends on your browser's own decoders and encoders, whose behaviour and output can vary between browsers and versions.

Always keep your original files. We are not able to recover anything, because we never hold a copy of your work.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including data loss, lost profits or damage to files. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

The site may display advertising supplied by third parties and link to external resources. We do not control and are not responsible for that content. See the privacy policy for how advertising interacts with your data.
